Compass is PSD’s program management platform and the core of the Clarity suite — built by program implementers, for program implementers. It connects stakeholders in an energy efficiency program to a single, secure source of program data and is highly configurable: multiple programs can run in a single instance, with multiple projects per site and granular role-based access.

Compass supported more than 70 commercial and residential programs and today serves 2,800+ users across 16 implementations nationwide and has passed security audits for utilities including Duke Energy, PG&E, Exelon, NYSERDA, and FirstEnergy. It is also the core of PSD’s nationwide RESNET Accredited Rater Provider program.

Beacon is the Clarity Heat Pump Toolkit — a DOE IRA-approved, contractor-facing tool, developed with funding from DOE and NYSERDA, that puts physics-based EnergyPlus modeling behind a simple, forms-based interface. It lets residential retrofit contractors model envelope load-reduction measures and size heat pumps for the future. Beacon solves several problems in the residential retrofit world.

Scout is the mobile companion to Compass; it is a publicly available iOS and Android app that collects on-site information on a tablet and synchronizes it to Compass. It enables field staff to carry out building audits, assessments, equipment installations, and quality assurance, with in-workflow validation feedback that ensures required information is captured before staff leaves the field, so that what happens on-site becomes program data without a separate re-keying step.

Ledger is Clarity’s reporting and analytics module. It combines user dashboards, pre-defined and ad hoc reports, and graphically rich PowerBI analytics fed from a secure, Compass-connected data warehouse — plus PSD’s nationally recognized homeowner energy reports — to meet program, contractor, and customer reporting needs from one connected source of data.
